NEWIEE on Campus: Smith College
October 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
NEWIEE is continuing its popular series of on-campus events for the fall semester – a chance for NEWIEE members to share their experience with young women and talk about careers in energy and the environment. The event has been organized through NEWIEE’s brand new Rising Professionals group and will address an issue that affects women across all professions – the wage gap. Come discuss salary negotiation techniques, hear a hiring manager’s perspective, and find out how to talk about bridging the gap. Who’s invited: Anyone who would like to hear about careers in energy and environment – business, technical, research, legal, and policy – or salary negotiation for women just starting their careers.
We can transform our field, just by showing young women they are welcome! If you are in the area, are a Smith alum, or just want to encourage young women, please join us. Refreshments will be served.
Moderator: Sarah Spencer, Tighe & Bond
Naomi Valentine, SWCA Environmental Consultants
Jennifer Recht, Assistant General Counsel – Corporate, ISO New England
Mary MacKie, Burns & McDonnell
