Muriel Robinette began her environmental career on the west coast as an assistant professor in geological engineering. She did a 4-year tour in NH government in the mid 80’s and has spent the last 30 years as an environmental consultant in New England engineering companies, including starting and selling her own firm during the last 7 years. She now practices as a Senior Consultant at GZA GeoEnvironmental based in their Bedford, NH office. Muriel’s consulting specialty is in forensic hydrogeology which she practices in many states around the US.
Muriel is passionate about assisting and promoting women in the sciences and engineering professions, and as such is active in STEM programs and in NEWIEE. She leads NEWIEE’s growth north of Boston by organizing and shepherding networking sessions in VT, NH and Maine, in addition to spearheading NEWIEE’s mentoring program.
Muriel holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology from University of New Hampshire, where she was named as Alumna of the Year in 2014 from the College and Engineering and Physical Sciences. In addition, she holds a Maser’s in engineering from Washington State University and furthered her engineering studies at the University of Idaho in their Mining Engineering PhD program. She is a licensed Geologist in several states and currently services on NH Licensing Board.
